Its great to just jump in!

By way of introduction, my name is Michael Wood, and I have led an interesting life to get to this … writing some thoughts and looking to share and create a community!  Having paid for college by serving as an infantry soldier in the U.S. Army (anti-tank operations), I’ve now invested nearly 22 years in information technologies as a developer, systems engineer, solution architect, manager, and executive.  Over that time, I’ve spoken at over a dozen technical conferences on a wide array of business and technical topics.  It has been a wild ride, and one that I have greatly enjoyed!

At home, I am a husband and father of 3.  My oldest son is now off to ‘real life’, while my middle son is a sophmore in college, and my daughter is a  junior in high school.  My wife and I moved out to the country a bit (a small ranch on a quiet country road) as we love animals and nature.
